Dear MileOne Employees:
It has come to our attention that there is a phishing scam being sent to some MileOne employees which looks as though it is concerning Workday. The email states that Workday has temporarily disabled your account due to inactivity and asks you to restore your account within 24 hours. The email looks like it is sent by the Workday Team and contains a link to update your account. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK.
IF YOU RECEIVED THIS EMAIL, PLEASE DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU CLICKED ON THE LINK, PLEASE CONTACT MIS IMMEDIATELY AT MIS@MILEONE.COM OR CALL THE MIS HELP DESK.
Any information sent to you by MileOne through Workday will come from an email address mileone@myworkday.com. ANY REQUIREMENT TO CHANGE YOUR WORKDAY PASSWORD WILL BE COMMUNICATED WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO LOG IN, NOT BY EMAIL.
Phishing is the fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.
To protect MileOne and yourself from phishing scams,
- Don’t open emails from people you don’t know
- Don’t open emails that are marked SPAM unless you are sure they are not
- NEVER click on a link or open an attachment from anyone that you do not recognize or who does not look legitimate
Our employees are often our first line of defense against these criminals. Please contact MIS at MIS@mileone.com or call the MIS help desk if you have any questions or see anything suspicious. We greatly appreciate the assistance of our employees in stopping these attacks.
Sincerely,
Henry Lederer
Chief Information Officer
